RESPECT YOUR ELDERS
Elderberry is a potent magickal fruit that has long been associated with healing and good blessings. Elderberries possess antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. Dating back to ancient Egypt, elderberry has been used to treat various ailments.
The berries and the flowers of the Elder tree are packed with antioxidants and vitamins that can boost your immune system. I highly recommend we all get a dose of the Elder's power before flu season attempts to strike us this winter.
The elder tree is an important plant ally and has an incredibly rich tie to magick, protection and folklore. Pagans believed that the spirit which embodies the Elder tree is the Elder Mother who holds the power to work her magick in this world.
Elderberry is known for her ability to stimulate vivid dreaming. It is said that falling asleep under an elder tree inspires dreams of unknown lands.
Raw elderberries are toxic but this can be negated when they’re thoroughly cooked
This week we hope to collect enough of these hauntingly dark berries to make an Enchanting Elderberry Elixir.
Remember if you harvest from the wild, the Elder commands our respect just as any wild plant does, so forage wisely, with consideration and with good intentions.

The Benefits of Planting Wildflowers
Wildflowers turn abandoned fields into wondrous dreamlands. They are independent, resilient plants that bring beauty to the mundane. Like wildflowers we must allow ourselves to flourish and grow in all the unlikely places people never thought we could.
