COLLECTING TREASURE
Magickal sprinklings to return back to Mama earth later in the year.
We plant seeds every single day with our actions, thoughts and intentions. Just like a garden, the seeds of our intentions need rain, strong roots, sunlight and weeding to truly flourish. During this time, we need to remember to be patient and resilient through the season and by doing do, we become part of creating something beautiful through the chaos.
“Keep planting new seeds until your mind becomes the earth that gives birth to new worlds.” — Curtis Tyrone Jones

*Lost, found, on the ground, shaken and stolen from all around!*
BULLET CHILLIS - grown originally from our garden in Kenya. They produce the most gorgeous, addictive spice
POPPY SEEDS - dried and collected from our own poppies
KALE SEEDS - Cavolo Nero collected from our own hearty kale plants
WILDFLOWER SEEDS - a colourful assortment of bee-friendly flowers
PARSLEY SEEDS - from our recently bolted plant
THISTLE SEEDS - 'stolen' from a public park :)
CABBAGE SEEDS - from a friend
CALENDULA SEEDS - from our garden
CHERRY SEEDS - from the most delicious cherries we have ever tasted
MAURITIAN CUCUMBER SEEDS - from my ancestral homeland of Mauritius
CORIANDER SEEDS - from our own bolted coriander plant
So much potential is present in a single seed. Seed saving offers us a chance to connect deeply with the seeds we plant - from sowing to harvesting, while establishing and maintaining the lineage of our plant allies.
PLANTING POWER
This week, we seemed to have unknowingly accumulated an array of beautiful seeds. Pictured above is our bolted parsley plant, providing us with a handful of delicious, fragrant seeds to share with friends and family.

We constantly have seeds drying on our dining table, forcing us to navigate our knives and forks, cups and plates around them, while we squeeze together on the empty corner and eat dinner every evening. We don’t mind though; because one day these seeds will be the very thing that will help provide us with our next homegrown, healing plate of soul, health and goodness.

The gene pool of the plant kingdom is shrinking. Seed saving will help ensure diversity which in turn will ensure the continuation of a plant species. So collect, cherish, save and share your seeds to help preserve the rich heritage of our plants.

The Benefits of Planting Wildflowers
Wildflowers turn abandoned fields into wondrous dreamlands. They are independent, resilient plants that bring beauty to the mundane. Like wildflowers we must allow ourselves to flourish and grow in all the unlikely places people never thought we could.
