Remedies from the Hive

Step into a world where ancient traditions, bee magic and plant folklore come together. Remedies From the Hive is a unique, hands-on workshop inviting you to explore the timeless relationship between humans and bees through intentional crafting and ritual.

Set in our vibrant Surrey studio - perched just above our honey extraction workshop - you will be guided through a sensory journey that honours the bees and the earth, through traditional remedy making techniques. A space to explore, experiment and play.

As we delve into the alchemy of the bees, we will learn about propolis, pollen, bee-friendly flowers and honey - all of which are powerful, transformative, earth-infused mediums. In this workshop, we will craft an array of remedies, inspired by ancient traditions and folklore, that harness the power of the hive.

Discover the Ancient Magic of Traditional Bee Remedies, Herbal Medicine and Bee Folklore in Surrey

For thousands of years, people have turned to the hive for healing, nourishment, inspiration and natural wellbeing. Across cultures, honey, propolis, pollen, beeswax and plants have been treasured not only as practical resources, but as gifts from nature that connect us to the changing seasons and the landscapes around us.

Our Bee Remedies Workshop in Surrey celebrates this rich heritage through a hands-on, creative experience inspired by traditional herbal wisdom and the remarkable world of honey bees. Rather than following commercial formulas, you'll explore the fascinating relationship between bees, plants and people while crafting a selection of beautiful remedies using carefully chosen natural ingredients. We will use local produce that we have lovingly harvested from the land and our British bees.

Throughout the day, we will share stories, bee folklore and the history behind these remarkable hive products, helping you understand why they have remained so valued across generations and communities. Every creation is made with intention, encouraging you to slow down, reconnect with nature and appreciate the extraordinary work of our pollinators.

Whether you are curious about natural remedies, passionate about bees, interested in herbal traditions or simply looking for a unique workshop in Surrey, you will leave inspired with new knowledge you can use everyday, handmade, nourishing creations and a deeper appreciation for the magic of the hive.

What You’ll Create:
  • Honey Electuary

  • Herbal Honey Ferment

  • Oxymel

  • Propolis Tincture

By the end, you’ll leave with a collection of handmade remedies and a renewed appreciation for the bees who inspire it all.
