Flavour Profile:
Dorking honey is a delicate, polyfloral honey, harvested from the wildflower meadows across Dorking in the heart of the Surrey countryside. Light and floral with subtle botanical notes, naturally sweet and beautifully mellow, it's a true taste of the local landscape in bloom.
How is it made?
Made in small batches by our Dorking bees, this local honey is locally produced, unheated and unblended, ensuring each jar retains its natural, magical properties.
Each batch reflects the natural forage available across the Surrey landscape that season, meaning no two harvests taste exactly alike.
Where Our Bees Forage | Nectar Sources
Our bees forage across the hedgerows, wildflower meadows and ancient woodlands in Dorking, nestled in the heart of Surrey Hills. Our Dorking bees gather nectar from a changing mix of blossoms throughout the season. Depending on the time of harvest, this will include hawthorn, blackthorn, bramble, clover, yarrow, ox-eye daisies, chamomile, lime blossom, horse chestnut, sycamore, dandelion, alkanet, poppies, apple blossom and a rich variety of native wildflowers.
Origin:
Single source 100% British honey, meaning they are never blended and come from one place. Harvested between May and August from beehives located in Dorking, Surrey.
Uses:
Drizzle onto your breakfast, stir into a hot drink, add into your salad dressings, the possibilities are endless. You can learn all about how to add honey and hive products into your everyday life in our Remedies from the Hive Workshop.
